What updateUserDetails takes. A key set to null deletes it and an
omitted key keeps whatever the user last chose: a merge, not a
replacement, so omitting a key never clears it.
Only traits users may write themselves are accepted, at the unverified
tier; a write naming a trait only your organization may write is refused. A
value naming a disabled list item is accepted but not stored, and the
response does not say so.
